Bigelow House Museum

Washington’s History in a House.

Volunteer OPPORTUNITIES

Docent-Tour Guide

We always need volunteers to provide guided tours of the house, gardens, and Bigelow Spring park. Training and support provided!

Gardening and Maintenance

Volunteers gather at the Bigelow House at 9:00am on the first Saturday of each month to tend the flowerbeds— including perennials and roses, fruit trees, and evergreens. We also make small repairs, paint, and perform other tasks as needed.

Research and Artifact Processing

The are numerous possibilities for research projects associated with the Bigelow family, community history, and artifacts. In addition, many artifacts associated with the Bigelow Family and Olympia History await formal processing and Cataloging. If you have a specific interest or would like to tackle one of the many projects we haven’t gotten to yet, we would love your help!
